Customer Stories

Netopia
Interview with Cheryl Williams, Senior Human Resources Representative

Cheryl, what do you think about BeneTrac?
It's been a great product for us! In particular, I am impressed with the flexibility of the product and the customer service behind it. They have been very willing to create solutions to streamline our administrative processes and now our employees can access their benefit plan information at their convenience.

How many employees does Netopia have? What does the company do?
Approximately 300. Netopia enables broadband carriers and service providers the increase their profitability expanded services focused on the residential, home networks and business class subscribers.

When did you start using BeneTrac?
December 2001

What was your experience from its introduction?
Our broker introduced us to it. Once we made the decision to go forward, it was ready to go in a very short time. The people at BeneTrac set up most everything and worked closely with me to fine tune our site.

I would say it's been a great self-service tool for the employees and an even better administrative tool for us. It's a virtual benefit administrator!

What programs do you administrate using BeneTrac?
Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, business travel insurance, and Benetrac also serve as a data bank for our third party administrator.

Have you had any difficulties?
No difficulties. BeneTrac had existing relationships with many of our carriers so there was a template or program already in place for easy data transfer. Implementation was very easy because they already knew what was required to meet that carrier's needs.

They had not, however, worked with our particular payroll service, so theyworked with the vendor to create a new program for data exchange to make the benefit deductions process automatic, saving us time and paper.

Any final words?
I love BeneTrac!
