BeneTrac Celebrates Decade of Success, Million Member Milestone for Benefits Management Platform

San Diego, CA, June 17, 2009 -- BeneTrac, a Paychex company and provider of powerful, web-based electronic enrollment and employee benefits administration software, today announced the commemoration of its tenth anniversary. Founded in 1999, BeneTrac was started with the vision of offering human resources and benefit managers freedom from traditionally laborious and paper-laden benefits management processes. It allows HR professionals to gain increased efficiency from online enrollment, employee self-service, automatic electronic transfers to carriers, customized reporting and more. Today BeneTrac is used to manage the benefits of over a million members in more than 1,000 organizations throughout the U.S., and has relationships with several thousand brokers and over 400 carriers and providers, with which it electronically transmits information.

A pioneer in online benefits management, BeneTrac started with six employees and a small office in La Jolla, California in 1999. The company quickly outgrew that space, as it did five subsequent office locations in San Diego. BeneTrac has been in its current and recently expanded headquarters in the Old Town area for the past five years. BeneTrac was acquired in September of 2007 by Paychex, Inc., a recognized leader in the payroll and human resource services industry. BeneTrac technology is used to manage benefits by companies that range in size from 70 to 7,000 employees. Using BeneTrac's online system, most employees require only 11 minutes to enroll in a complete benefits package. HR managers can then choose to review employee elections and have the information sent automatically and electronically to each carrier in that carrier's preferred method of receipt for quicker processing. BeneTrac recently received a Silver Award for Best Overall Internet Site for 2008 - Corporate Business Improvement, from the eHealthcare Leadership Awards.
